As women, we make a lot of excuses for our body. I feel like I've spent so much of my life apologizing for how I look. This is too big. This is too small. This is kinda crooked. There's a scar here. If you pay attention, you'll probably notice that looks are the first thing people attack when they have no other ground to stand on.

I started out by writing about depression, but decided I wanted to take a different route. 

Chasing your dreams can be exhausting, but that is part of the point. The frankness of this was not what I was expecting. I think I was hoping for a "don't give up" or some story of how he gets through it himself. Maybe a trick of the trade. Honestly, I probably wanted to be told that I was an amazing talent and shouldn't give up.
